What: Town Hall Meeting
When: Tuesday, December 16, 5:00 – 7:00 PM
Where: Downtown Denver Partnership
You are invited to an important Town Hall hosted by the Upper Downtown Neighborhood Association on Tuesday, December 16 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The Town Hall will be held in the conference room at Downtown Denver Partnership, 1515 Arapahoe Street, Suite #100. Enter the building from Skyline Park 1 near 16th Street. Food and drinks will be served.
Our panelists include: Senator Matthew Ball, Deputy DA Matthew James, Council Member Sarah Parady, Erin Atencio and Chris Richardson, Roads to Recovery, and Sterling Simms, Mayor Johnston’s Representative for District 10.
The focus of the Town Hall will be to discuss the support for the homeless on 16th Street and beyond who are suffering from mental health and drug addiction, funding issues, lack of treatment facilities, headwinds facing Roads to Recovery, laws that prevent treatment, and the closure of shelter hotels and micro communities.
Maintaining a safe and thriving downtown—one that contributes meaningfully to city and state revenues—depends on continued investment in public safety, police presence, SET resources, and services for the unhoused. Any erosion of these services and initiatives would pose serious financial risks to downtown and the well-being of our residents and visitors.
This is your opportunity to engage directly with elected officials, share your concerns, and help shape a safe and vibrant downtown for all.
