Second Annual Downtown Denver National Night Out

Save the Date – August 6, 2024 from 4:30-7:30PM at Skyline Park 1!

UpDoNA is once again partnering with LoDoNA and the Downtown Denver Partnership to host the second annual Downtown Denver National Night Out at Skyline Park 1. It’s a fun celebration intended to honor Denver Police, Denver Fire, and all first responders. There will be fire trucks, ambulances, and classic police cruisers to explore. Mayor Johnston will be attending along with several city leaders. There will be music, games, food, demonstrations, and giveaways, including door prizes. Come join the fun!

UpDoNA’s Facebook Page

We encourage all members to go to UpDoNA’s Facebook page and “like” it. There is a lot of information that we print there that is not included in our newsletter. Since we publish our newsletter on a monthly basis, there are often events or announcements that cannot wait until the 1st day of the following month. Those are published on our Facebook page. Liking it will give you access to a great deal of additional information, events and discounts that you would not otherwise know about.

August UNO

UNOs (UpDoNA Nights Out) are held on the second Wednesday of each month. They are a great way to meet other UpDoNA members and have fun in the process. The August UNO will be held on Wednesday, August 14th beginning at 5PM at Dazzle in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex on 14th Street between Curtis & Arapahoe. Enjoy Happy Hour prices from 5PM-6PM, but stay later and have fun!

Draft Plan of Development For DDA is Available For Review

As you may know, Mayor Johnston recently announced plans to invest $500 million in Downtown Denver, much of it being slated for Upper Downtown. It will be funded by a Downtown Development Authority (DDA). A necessary step in the formation of that DDA is the drafting of a Plan of Development. Mall Project Information

If you haven’t been on the mall recently, you may be in for a surprise. The block between Larimer and Lawrence is completed, open – and beautiful! Go see it if you get a chance. What is Upper Downtown?

Formerly known as the “Central Business District”, we’re now Upper Downtown and we encompass a large section of the downtown area bordered by Lawrence Street, 20th Street, North Broadway, West Colfax and Speer Boulevard.

Our community includes over twenty residential buildings with a mix of condominiums, lofts and apartment rentals. We’re also home to hundreds of businesses (large and small), as well as multiple parks, dining and entertainment venues of all types.
