Colorado turns 150 this year, right on the heels of the country’s 250th, and Downtown Denver is celebrating big. Here’s where to join in on August 1 – click on the links for more information:

Homegrown Colorado (Civic Center NIGHT MARKET):

Denver’s pre-party for Colorado Day, with an all-local marketplace, homegrown food and drink, live bands, and a silent disco celebrating the state’s greatest hits. This event is taking place on July 31

Red Bull LEDGEnds:

An open-jam skateboarding contest where top local skaters battle it out on ledges for cash prizes like best trick and judges’ choice.

Colorado Day BAZAAR:

A free celebration at Commons Park marking Colorado’s 150th birthday, with local makers, food, and live music from Los Mocochetes, Brothers of Brass, May Be Fern, and School of Rock.

Colorado Day Community Fest 2026:

Start the morning with a free community pancake breakfast in the Golden Triangle Creative District, then stick around for live music, a lowrider car show, local vendor markets, food trucks, and family-friendly activities celebrating Colorado’s culture.

Colorado Day at Union Station:

A full day of free, family-friendly festivities at Denver Union Station and the plaza honoring the culture, history, music, and flavors that make Colorado iconic.

Colorado Day at Dairy Block:

Explore the block for Colorado-themed art, local live music, and treats and surprises tucked around every corner, all in celebration of local businesses and Colorado artists.

Colorado Day at McGregor Square:

A full day of live music, local entertainment, interactive activities, and exclusive Colorado 150 merchandise celebrating the state’s 150th birthday.

Pay-What-You-Wish Day at Clyfford Still:

A special Colorado Day edition of the museum’s Pay-What-You-Wish program, with admission for as little as a penny and free mini-tours offered throughout the day.
