In 2020, a study done by Clever Real Estate named Denver the safest city in America after looking at the 50 largest metro areas in the United States. But since then, we have all observed a steady decline in what we see around us – open drug use, vandalism, graffiti, tent encampments, trash littering the streets, assaults, car and bicycle thefts and so much more. There are many causes and reasons why this has occurred, but residents and businesses understandably want this trend reversed.
The Safety & Quality of LIfe Committee’s work focuses on reversing this trend and, in fact, is the main reason that UpDoNA was formed. This committee does everything in its power to increase enforcement of all of our laws, works to understand and remove obstacles to that end, and in general, represents the rights of residents to the City and County of Denver.
