Safety Committee

The Safety Committee works to ensure that the Upper Downtown Neighborhood is a safe, inviting and comfortable place to live, work and play.

In 2020, a study done by Clever Real Estate named Denver the safest city in America after looking at the 50 largest metro areas in the United States.  However, during and for a while after COVID, we observed a decline in the lifestyle we had come to love as did many other major cities in the US.

UpDoNA was formed primarily to help remedy this situation, and the work was done primarily by the Safety Committee.  We worked with Mayor Hancock’s administration as well as the today’s Johnston administration, and today, the situation is completely different than when we initially formed UpDoNA.

Today, this committee continues to do everything in its power to increase enforcement of all of our laws, works to understand and remove obstacles to that end, and in general, represents the rights of Upper Downtown residents and businesses to the City and County of Denver.
