Please Support Our UpDoNA Cares Partners
Donations to our Shelter Partners and Holiday Gifts for Clients in Those Shelters
UpDoNA members often ask how they can support our shelter partners or do something to make the holidays more special for their clients. While there is always a need for financial support, some of us are more focused on making donations this time of the year. Below is information about how to help The Delores Project, STEP Denver, and Urban Peak.
UrbanPeak.org You can make cash donations to the shelter via “Donate to Urban Peak” button on the web site. They also have Amazon Gift lists set up if you want to donate things that they need or things that would be good holiday gifts for clients who may appear at their shelter at any time.
UrbanPeak.org/support/needs#amazon gets you on a page where you can choose either “shelter needs” or “housing needs”. Either gets you to an Amazon gift list – there are actually 4 lists at the left side of the screen:
- Mothers and Babies’ Needs List
- Urban Peak Holiday Gift List
- Urban Peak Housing Needs
- Urban Peak Mothership Needs (“Mothership” is their name for their new shelter)
Urban Peak explore any of the lists and choose items to place in your cart. When checking out select “Urban Peak gift registry address” as the address for shipping and items go directly to the shelter.
TheDeloresProject.org You can make cash donations to the shelter using the “Donate” button prominently displayed on the website.
To give an item for an Amazon Gift list, choose “Give” and then “Our current needs”. Current needs/ wish lists are posted, but as of 11/21/24 the “Christmas Link” is not yet active. It should be by 12/1/24.
Step Sober Living – Denver, CO | Step Denver You can make cash donations to Step Denver directly using the “Give” button.
The Amazon Gift list for STEP clients is reachable at:
Amazon.com/hz/wishlist/Is/1LFZJ9ZQ8OSND/ref=hz_Is_biz_ex (The link wouldn’t remain active when imported into this message). When you check out for the purchase choose Step Denver gift registry address and items go directly to them.
