We are delighted to report a victory for the Clean Upper Downtown committee. Over the past couple of years, we have reached out via emails to a business neighbor at the corner of 14th and Stout, seeking their assistance in improving their presentation to the neighborhood, Convention Center, tourists, and visitors. We specifically asked them to address the fencing around their parking lot, which had become an eyesore with its chipped and peeling paint in various colors.
Recently, we took a different approach and managed to speak with the owner over the phone. We offered to help by obtaining and providing four painting company bids to outline the project’s scope and cost. Without receiving a response on the plan, a Spire neighbor noticed that the work had begun one day and was completed the next.
The result is fantastic—a significant visual improvement for the corner. It now looks clean, fresh, and reflects pride in our neighborhood. Thank you, Focus Properties!
