Jack Murphy

As a resident of the Upper Downtown area of Denver, I’d like to help provide a better living environment for me, my wife, and my
neighbors. We need to bring the resources of the City and County of Denver to our central city to deal with the challenges of Homelessness and Mental Health. These issues spill into other qualify of life concerns like litter/trash, and safety.

I feel my educational and employment background has prepared me for the opportunity to serve as a Board member to UpDoNA. I
graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a BS Degree in Economics, and also completed studies for my Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning. I have worked in the Residential Home Mortgage Financing industry for over 35 years. My career has involved Managerial, Sales, and Educational positions.

My biggest strengthens for the UpDoNA Board, and its members, will be my ability to communicate our mission and goals to the UpDoNA area neighbors. I’m currently serving on the Community Overreach committee. Our committee has been very successful identifying other residential buildings in UpDoNA for members. I believe I can help bring these residential neighbors into our organization through direct outreach and presentations.

Creating a strong and participatory RNO will help bring change to our neighborhood with safer streets, cleaner environments, and improved sense of community.
