Clean Upper Downtown Committee Report – April 2024

The UpDoNA Clean Upper Downtown Committee has recently welcomed a new company to join our monthly clean-up efforts. Pacific Premier Trust’s Nick McCallister contacted us expressing interest in joining our team in downtown Denver. When we arrived at 1600 Glenarm, we collaborated with that building’s volunteers – a fun and enthusiastic group of men and women.

With three groups covering most of the UpDoNA neighborhood, we’ve made significant progress in keeping the area clean and safe. One Lincoln Park and Spires’ group, in particular, demonstrates incredible energy and dedication every month.

All groups do an excellent job of reporting issues through Denver’s clean and safe App, including graffiti, broken lighting, and potential hazards.

On the 1^st Saturday of each month (holidays may push to 2^nd weekend) we gather to walk our UpDoNA neighborhood with buckets, trash bags, brooms, safety vests and a smile.

Everyone is welcome to participate, please feel free to bring a friend!

We have 3 meeting points for your convenience:

• In front of the Spire – 891 14^th Street (Spire Condos)
• Outside One Lincoln Park Condos 19^th and Welton
• Outside 1600 Glenarm Apartments 1600 Glenarm

If you are unable to join us on the 1^st Saturday of the month, please consider using the Clean and Safe App that Denver provides us on your daily walks about town.

    • We have used this app daily to report full trash cans that need emptied, dog waste bags that need refilling and broken tree grates that are tripping hazards.

Our next Neighborhood Clean Up will be on Saturday April 6th at 9am for 1 hour.

Future dates are Saturdays: May 4th, June 1st, July 6th, August 3rd
