K. Bennett Parsons

Professionally, I manage a global portfolio of accounts for a non-profit research cooperative whose mission is to advance the science of water to protect public health. This requires clear communication between key stakeholders to accomplish time sensitive and critical research objectives.

Some of my experience includes serving on the board of my former HOA, working as a community organizer both training and managing teams, and working as an advocate for individuals with disabilities. I am action oriented, results driven, and operations focused. I enjoy working collaboratively and feel that my skill set and passion for connecting with people and serving my community makes me a great founding board member.

Currently, I volunteer for Slow Food Denver in partnership with Grow Local Colorado to tend garden plots in Civic Center Park where all food is donated to local food banks and homeless shelters. I chair the sustainability committee of my employer where we advise on business practices, employee wellness, and educational materials. Additionally, I work in various capacities to protect our public lands with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado.

I understand the balance between executing objectives and meeting people where they are to ensure community engagement. I am committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and vibrant community and would be honored to contribute to the success of the RNO as a founding board member.
